Snapchat is an application for smart phones that allows you to take pictures and send them to people for a certain period of time (user specified). You can take short videos and pictures with the app. Once you've taken the picture you can send it to as many people as you want, given that they're on your "my friends" list. Once the picture has been opened for the set duration of time it cannot be opened again. Most people use the caption system of the app as a way to talking to people whilst taking photos of what they're doing. You CAN screenshot what you've been sent, but it notifies the sender that you've screenshot the photo.
